Maybelline, Perks of Her and Social Media sensation Sarah Ellen used 3D Scanning and 3D Printing for the advertising campaign MAKEFITHAPPEN!
Cyber scanning took place in our Peakhurst office taking only minutes to capture the data in full colour. 3D Scanned in 2 different poses and outfits – one a complete 3D mini-me the other in a classical bust pose to be used as props for the YouTube advertising campaign.
The 3D data was processed to a watertight mesh ready to print using our Projet 4500 full colour in plastic for the mini me – which is strong and durable. The bust was printed overnight using the Projet 660 in white. The following morning the prints were cleaned up and ready for post-processing. Sanding using 3 grades of sandpaper gave an engineering quality to the finished product and was perfect for filming.
